When you add a table of contents to the blog post template, it is built from that article's body headings. This is available on every plan.
In the theme editor, add the "Table of Contents" app block to the target template, or add an app embed on a vintage theme. If you have not added it, the table of contents does not appear even when the body has headings.
To add it, see the following articles.
(1) Select a theme
From Shopify admin, go to Apps and open "RuffRuff Table of Contents." Under "Select a theme" on the home screen, choose the target theme.
(2) Open the theme editor for Blog posts
Select "Add app block" next to "Blog posts."
(3) Add the app block or app embed
On an Online Store 2.0 theme, add "Table of Contents" from "Add block" or "Add section," then select "Save." On a vintage theme, turn on "Article (Vintage theme)," then select "Save."
The table of contents is built from headings in the blog post body. The default is H2 and H3. Headings added in theme sections are not included.
You cannot open the theme editor from the home screen unless at least one published blog post exists.
Set the headings in the rich text of the body.
